Our soccer club started as a dream in 2015 but has grown into something much greater than anything we could have imagined. We began our club under the name “Lincoln Aztecs FC” with only one team and were able to register through the local YMCA and began playing in the State’s League and competitive tournaments. We quickly grew our club into three different age groups, and these teams compete in leagues varying from local Spirit Leagues to State’s Premier Divisions.
In 2017, we decided to submit an application for our own club with the State Soccer Association. Dreamers Fútbol Club was approved and was able to register 6 teams for the Fall 2017 season. We currently work with players from Lincoln, Crete, Grand Island, Beatrice and Omaha. Our teams have traveled and played in places we used to only dream about seeing in person. Dreamers FC has participated in tournaments in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota. We pride ourselves on having great working relationships with other clubs in order to enhance our player’s development and character.
We are registered as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and hope to raise funds each season to offset some of the cost to our families. Our doors are open to any player looking for a different avenue to reach their potential. We will provide a similar environment as some of the local academies, but at a much lower cost. We are always seeking volunteer coaches who love to make a difference in our communities by working with such great kids.
